The Sharp BP-50C31 is the 31-ppm step in the BP-50 Essentials A3 color family — same floor-standing chassis as the 26/36/45/55/65 ppm models, with a 10.1-inch tilting touchscreen, 100-sheet RSPF, and 11x17 ledger output. Print speed is 31 pages per minute in both black and color at 1200 x 1200 dpi mono / 600 x 600 dpi color, with first copy out at 5.6 seconds B/W from the platen. Standard paper capacity is 650 sheets across one 550-sheet drawer plus a 100-sheet bypass, expandable to 6,300 sheets with split tandem drawers and the BP-LC10 3,000-sheet large capacity cassette. The RSPF feeds 100 sheets at 80 ipm with original size detection, which handles mixed letter/legal/tabloid stacks well — it's not a true single-pass duplex scanner, but for mid-volume offices it's enough. Cloud Connect for OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive is built in. The thing buyers regret: this is a base model. The drum unit (DR810) is separate and usually lasts 15,000 to 30,000 pages before it needs replacing. At a typical small office volume, expect to change it once every 2 to 4 years.
