The Lexmark MS520 Series (standard config: MS521dn) is a compact desktop monochrome laser printer for small offices of 5-15 people printing 1,000 to 6,000 pages a month. It runs 46 ppm at 1200 x 1200 dpi with first page out as fast as 6 seconds and integrated duplex standard. Paper handling is 350 sheets standard (250-sheet tray + 100-sheet multipurpose feeder), expandable with optional 250 / 550 / 2,200-sheet trays up to 2,300 sheets total. The 2.4-inch color LCD is non-touch — operators use the keypad and navigation buttons. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet and USB 2.0 Type B standard; Wi-Fi requires the optional Marknet accessory. At 10.2 x 15.7 x 14.7 inches and 31 lb, this is the smallest footprint Lexmark mono laser at this speed class. The thing buyers regret: ordering without checking that Wi-Fi isn't standard. The MS531dw is the more current option with built-in 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and a 2.8" color touchscreen at the same speed class — same paper capacity, larger display, ready out of the box.
