At 50 ppm, the Lexmark M3250 is the top of Lexmark's desktop B&W single-function lineup before you jump to floor-standing MS-series machines. It's a B&W laser for offices doing 2,000-5,000 pages a month — bigger than the M1242/M1246 but still desktop-friendly. 4.3-inch touchscreen, standard duplex, 650-sheet input, gigabit Ethernet, optional Wi-Fi via accessory. Faster processor, more memory, and a higher-rated maintenance kit than the M1246. The 1 thing buyers regret: putting the M3250 on a single-user desk. It's a workgroup printer — anyone treating it as a personal device will run out the imaging unit and fuser early not because they printed too much, but because the duty-cycle is designed for 5+ users sharing the load. The other regret is forgetting to spec a second 550-sheet drawer. The standard 650-sheet capacity reloads about every 2 days at the kind of volume that justifies a 50 ppm machine. Add a drawer and you're loading paper twice a week instead of daily.
